Billing & Insurance Claims

As a courtesy, we will file directly with the insurance company for services rendered. Additionally, we will assist in obtaining payment from the insurance company.

Should insurance payments be delayed, reduced or denied, we will expect payment from the patient. For patient convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards.

Managed Care

Managed Care Health Plans vary in their restrictions and requirements. To assure the highest level of payment, we encourage patients to be aware of the limitations and requirements their plan offers. Some common requirements and limitations include:

  • Co-pay required by patient at the time of service
  • Referrals from primary care physician (PCP)
  • Therapy visit limitations per calendar year
  • Pro-certifications
  • Deductible obligations

Third Party Payment Responsibility

Private insurance coverage may pay for on-the-job injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or injuries sustained on personal property where a lawsuit may be filed. In such cases, we will file claims to the insurance companies. If claims are disputed or denied, patients are expected to assume full responsibility for payment.

Our Billing Process

This is a step by step guide of your total rehabilitative process from billing to your treatment to the communication between your therapist and doctor. We welcome you!

Once you have scheduled your appointment and given your insurance information to SSRC, we will begin the process of verifying your chiropractor benefits with your insurance company. As a courtesy, you will receive a copy of the benefits as quoted from your insurance company to us. Please note that insurance quotes are not a guarantee of payment. The following is intended to help you better understand our billing process.

  • Your daily charge is sent by your therapist to our billing office.
  • The billing office then submits these charges to your insurance company for reimbursement.
  • SSRC generally receives payment within 30-60 days.
  • SSRC will submit a bill to you after your insurance has paid or made a decision on services rendered (usually within 30-60 days).

Although it may take 30-60 days to receive a bill for your deductible and co-insurance, all co-pays are due at the time of service. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We are currently in network with: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, Medicare, Masshealth, BMC, Tufts.

We also accept most other insurance plans, we will check benefits for the patient.
